The 2nd All India conference of NUBSNLW (FNTO) was held during the period from 16.7.06 for three days was concluded on 18-7-06. Most of the invitees attended and graced the open session. Dr. Sanjeev Reddy, Member of Parliament and President INTUC, C.Gnanasekaran, Member of Legislative Assembly, TN, Shri. A.K.Sinha, CMD, BSNL, Shri. R.L.Dube , Shri. Niranjan Singh BSNLBoard of Directors, Shri. S.C.Mishra, Sr. DDG and Bro. Kunwardana, Director Telecom, Union Network International were among the VIPs who graced the occasion. Hon'ble Minister of State for Communication and IT Dr. Shakeel Ahmed and Hon'ble Minister for PWD Tamilnadu Govt., Shri Durai Murugan could not attend the conference owing to indisposition and had sent their personal greetings message.

 

Veteran Trade Union Leaders S/Shri, VAN Namboodri, O.P.Gupta, J.L.Jogi, Prahald Roy, V.Subburaman attended the open session and greeted the conference.

Important resolutions passed in the 2nd AIC

 

1.     Conference urges the Govt. not to disinvest or privatize BSNL

2.     No unbundling of last mile copper nor sharing of Infrastructure of BSNL & MTNL

3.     Award Navaratna status to BSNL without further delay

4.     Conference urges the BSNL board to implement 5 promotion scheme for BSNL staff

5.     Also to settle pending items in National Council

6.     Empanel CMC hospital Vellore for BSNL staff all over India and reimburse the medical expenses thereof .
